To optimise the organisation of the patient registration, the NCHS is one of the first hospitals in Nigeria using an electronic patient registration system (EPR). Under the direction of an ICT-advisor in Healthcare from the Dutch Noma Foundation, they introduced this computer system into the hospital.

A few employees were specially educated and trained to work with this advanced system.
From now on all patients are digitally photographed and registered to the system. In this way it is possible to quickly identify the patients, finding out the medical history, and to do scientific research on the results of treatments.
